Robert G. (Bob) Teeter
Eagle Scout at age 13, US Army Veteran, former Police Officer, Prosecutor, and Senior Counsel to International Energy corporations.  Mr. Teeter was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Following his discharge from active duty in the U.S. Army Reserves, Bobjoined the Detroit Police Department where he graduated 1st in his class from the Detroit Police Academy, and later earned a promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
Professional Education:
While working full-time as a police officer and raising a family, Bob attended Wayne State University part-time first earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Police Administration in 1972, and then a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 1976 from Wayne State University Law School.  Bob's Law School Honors included a Silver Key Scholarship Award, two American Jurisprudence Awards for highest class grade, and Outstanding Oral Advocacy Award for First Year Moot Court.

Legal Experience:
After graduation from law school, Bob moved to Texas, where he first worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Tyler, and then as an Assistant District Attorney for Smith County, Texas, before going into private law practice. He was subsequently recruited by a regional energy company to be their in-house Staff Attorney, which in turn led to Senior Attorney and Senior Counsel positions with national and international energy corporations (including a 3-year assignment to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).  Following retirement from the energy industry in 2006, he returned home to Michigan, where he became interested in estate planning and elder law.   In 2008 he founded Teeter Law PLC, and now focuses his practice exclusively on Estate Planning and Elder Law.
